IT WAS EASY work for Armagh in the end, as they breezed through their qualifier assignment against Fermanagh with nine points to spare at the Athletic Grounds.
After rallying back from behind in the first half, the Armagh men took a two-point lead into the half-time break.
They built on that momentum after the restart, with midfielder Niall Grimley hitting a personal tally of six points throughout the game.
Jamie Clarke chipped in with three points from play, while Andrew Murnin hit two scores of his own.

Tomás Corrigan slotted over four frees for Fermanagh but Pete McGrath’s men struggled to play against the wind in the second half.
Their cause was further damaged after the dismissal of Eoin Donnelly following a second yellow card.
There were penalty claims for Corrigan, and they hit the post twice but they couldn’t get the breaks, while Armagh continued to tag on points to book their spot in the Round 2B qualifiers draw.

Offaly 0-16 Cavan 1-17
It was a tighter affair between Offaly and Cavan in Tullamore, with the visiting side prevailing thanks to a goal from Gearóid McKiernan.
There were five points separating the sides up to that point, with the midfielder’s goal giving the Ulster side the impetus to steer home to a four-point win.
Cavan also had a two-point lead at the half-time interval, with Gerard Smith, Niall McDermott and Liam Buchanan extending the lead in the early stages of the second half.
McKiernan’s goal arrived shortly after and it looked as though Cavan would cruise to victory.
Offaly struck back with points from Michael Brazil, substitute Niall McNamee and Brian Darby, but it wasn’t enough to catch Cavan in the end.
Both Armagh and Cavan will join Carlow and Wexford in tomorrow morning’s draw.
Westmeath, Monaghan, Tipperary and Leitrim will be on the other side of the draw, which will take place on RTÉ ‘s Morning Ireland after the 8.35am news.
